Fedora hides the mounted disk icon on the desktop.

Any non-LINUX partition that has been mounted in the fedora system will display an icon on the desktop. If there are too many disks, the desktop will be neat. Follow these steps to hide these icons.

1. Install a "configuration Editor" and enter the following command with the root permission on the terminal:YumInstall gconf-editor to install the software

2. ApplicationProgram(Or main menu) --> System Tools --> Configuration editor --> app --> Nautilus --> destop

3. Find the volumes_visible option on the right side and remove the check box to hide the desktop disk icon.

4. Now you can find that the disk icon on the desktop has disappeared. If you want to display the icon, tick the key.
