Firefox Chinese Language Pack Installation Method

I. Automatic Installation Method:

On Mozilla's FTP: http://ftp.mozilla.org/

Select version and corresponding OS http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
, Language Pack in xpi directory, find by yourself, simplified (zh-CN.xpi)/traditional (zh-TW.xpi)

It seems that the language packs corresponding to different operating systems are no different. They are used for personal testing. You can decide on your own.

Ii. Manual installation:

First, find the latest Language Pack on Mozilla FTP (the file format is xpi) and download it,

3.0 series Simplified Chinese Language Pack address for ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/latest-3.0/win32/xpi/zh-CN.xpi

3.5 series Simplified Chinese Language Pack address for ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/latest-3.5/win32/xpi/zh-CN.xpi

 

Decompress the xpi file with a compression software such as 7-Zip or universal extractor and find chrome in the decompressed folder. the manifest file is opened with the text editing software. Use the replacement function provided by the text editor to replace "jar: Chrome" with "jar:" (for firefox3.5, please replace "jar: chrome/"replace all with" jar: ") to save the file;

Rename chrome. manifest to zh-CN.manifest;

Copy the zh-CN.manifes with the modified name and the zh-CN.jar in the chrome folder under the same folder to the chrome folder in the directory where the Firefox program is located;

 

 

3. Very important!

After completing the preceding two steps, enter "about: config" in the Firefox address bar and press enter, and then enter general in the filter. useragent. locale, double-click this item, and then enter "ZH-CN" in the pop-up dialog box. OK.

After restarting the browser, Firefox becomes the Chinese version.
