The text you enter is generally always in a rectangular text box, and in many cases we need to draw the dynamic text. To achieve this effect, we can draw a path and then attach the text to the path, and the text will change as the path changes. But this time the path has lost the stroke, stroke, padding, and other path attributes. Here's a concrete look at how the combination of text and paths in fireworks can achieve the flexibility and richness of the effect.
1. Append Text to Path
In fireworks, we can attach text to a path where the text is arranged in the direction and shape of the path. When text is attached to a path, you can still edit the text, and the stroke, fill, and effect properties are used for the text, not the path. But once the text and the path are stripped, the path restores its original properties. Let's see how to attach text to a path:
(1) Create a new file, select the Pen tool in the toolbox, and draw a path in the plot area, as shown in Figure 1.

(2) Select the Text tool in the Toolbox click to add a text in the plot area. Then use the Selection tool on the toolbox to hold down the SHIFT key while selecting both the path and the text object, as shown in Figure 2.

(3) Click on the "Text" menu, select "Attach to Path" in the Pull-down menu (attached to the paths), the text is appended to the path, when the text changes its original orientation and position as the path is shaped, as shown in Figure 3.

(4) If you separate the text from the path, select the text and the path, and then choose Detach from Path (separated from the paths) under the "Text" menu. After separation, the path restores its original properties.
Note: If the length of the text exceeds the length of the path to which it is attached, the remaining text will return to the shape of the repeating path, which can be adjusted by modifying the font size of the text or by modifying the length of the path.
2. Change the start position of text
Select the text attached to the path to change the position of the text by entering the desired offset in the path offset text box in the property panel, as shown in Figure 4. Get the image shown in Figure 5.

3. Change the direction of text
After the text is appended to the path, select "Text>>orientation" and select the desired direction from its submenu to further change the direction of the text. The four options in the Orientation menu are as follows: Rotate Around path (rotate by Path), Vertical (vertical), Skew Vertical (vertical skew), Skew horizontal (horizontal skew). Figure 6 to Figure 9 shows the effect of four options, respectively.

Alternatively, select Text>>reverse Direction to flip the text, as shown in Figure 10.

4. Change the alignment of text
You can adjust the alignment of the text by path by selecting the appropriate option in the Text>>align menu, as shown in Figure 11.

The effects shown in Figure 12 to figure 16 are left (left-to-right), centered horizontally (horizontally centered), right (right-aligned), justified (justified), and strentched (forced alignment).
