Starting with the Chrome 7 dev version of Windows, I found that the way to search the address bar for keywords was not working. At first I thought this was a dev version of a bug and expect them to be resolved as soon as possible. After several upgrades, the problem remains. Because I've been used to searching in this way, I've been reflecting the problem to the Chrome development team, as I've been responding to them before, no response. (Google's customer service has a long-standing reputation ...). )
Today upgrades to the Chrome 8 Dev, the address bar is still not searchable. I finally have to admit, this should not be a chrome bug, because in my Linux version of Chrome 7 Beta, the address bar can search, just search engine defaults are annoying google.com.hk ...
So I tried to solve the problem myself. Click on the upper right corner of the small wrench, choose options, found that search engine set to blank.
Click on the right manage, pop-up search Engines Settings window, select google.com as the default settings.
When you are finished, you can search the address bar.
