Draw a diagonal header in Word
The table header is always in the first row of the selected table, in the first cell of the first column.
Draw a diagonal header
1. Insert a new table or click the table you want to add a slash header to.
2, on the Layout tab, click Draw Slash header.
3, in the table header style list, click the style you want.
There are five styles to choose from, and you use the preview box to preview the selected headers to determine the style you want.
4, in each title box to enter the desired row, column headings.
Attention:
• When you use the draw slash header to edit the header, the new header replaces the original header.
• If the table cell does not fit the entered caption, you will see a warning and the characters that won't fit are truncated.
Adjust Slash header cell
When you need to resize the table header and drag the border of the header cell, the grouped objects in the header are not moved. You can then adjust the header in the following ways.
• Select the slash header, and then select either handle of the grouped object in the header and drag the handle until the slash header is appropriate.
• Click Draw Slash Header, and then click OK.
