1. Hide some images in the chart
To achieve a special chart effect, you need to "hide" some of the charts except to delete the series (sometimes this method cannot achieve the desired effect ), you can also use the following method.
Step 1: select the chart to be hidden from the chart.
Step 2: switch to the chart tools/formats menu tab.
Step 3: click the "shape fill" drop-down button in the "shape style" group and select the "No fill color" option from the drop-down list that appears later.
2. Adjust the chart width
For columns, bars, and other charts, if you think the width of the chart is not suitable, you can adjust it through the following operations.

1. Create a chart

2. format the chart

Step 5: select the vertical axis to open the "set axis format" dialog box.
Step 6: In the "axis options" column, select the "reverse category" and "Horizontal Axis cross/maximum category" options. Others adopt the default format. After the settings are complete, click "close" to return.
Step 7: Select the "legend" object and press del to delete it.
Step 8: add the title (for example, "construction progress of building ×1") to the chart ").
Step 9: After adjusting the chart size and other elements, a standard construction progress chart is created.

Set a background for a chart
