CSS syntax

CSS instances

A CSS rule consists of two main parts: a selector, and one or more declarations:

Selectors are usually HTML elements that you need to change the style.

Each declaration consists of an attribute and a value.

The property is the style property (style attribute) that you want to set. Each property has a value. Attributes and values are separated by colons.

The CSS declaration always ends with a semicolon (;), and the declaration group is enclosed in curly braces ({}):

p{        color:red;        Text-align:center;    }

Instance:

<! DOCTYPE html>
CSS Annotations

Comments are used to interpret your code, and you can edit it at will, and the browser ignores it.

The CSS comment begins with "/*" and ends with "*/" with the following examples:

/* This is a comment */p{text-align:center;/* this is another comment */color:black;font-family:arial;}
