First, installation
Apt-get install mysql-server need to set the account password

2.sudo Netstat-tap | grep MySQL to see if the installation was successful

Second, set up MySQL remote access
1. Edit the MySQL configuration file, and put the bind-address = 127.0.0.1 comment
vi/etc/mysql/MySQL
2. Use root to enter the MySQL command line, execute the following 2 commands, example of MySQL root account password: root
Grant all on * * to [e-mail protected] '% ' identified by ' root ' with grant option; Flush privileges;
3. Restart MySQL
/etc/init.d/MySQL restart
Third, MySQL multiple ways to change the root password
Method 1: Use the Set password command
MySQL -u root mysql for ' root ' @ ' localhost ' = PASSWORD (' Newpass ');
Method 2: Use Mysqladmin
mysqladmin-u root Password "newpass"-u root password oldpass "Newpass"
Method 3: Edit the user table directly with update
mysql-u root mysqlusemysql; mysql> UPDATE user SET Password = Password (' newpass ') WHERE user = ' root '; mysqlFLUSH privileges;
This can be done when the root password is lost
Mysqld_safe--skip-grant-tables&
Mysql-u Root MySQL
mysql> UPDATE user SET Password=password ("New password") WHERE user= ' root ';
