When you view the properties of a file in Windows Vista, you will see a "Previous Version" tab. However, in many cases, the file Properties dialog box displays "no earlier version" (1 ). What the hell is going on?

In fact, this "Previous Version" is not hard to understand. You just need to regard it as a "small System Restoration. Why? Because of this, users can retrieve previous documents, which is actually a "Restore" of a file ".
TIPS:
To enable a file to have a single restoration function, the system restoration function of the partition where the file is located must not be disabled.
Let's use an example to describe where the "Previous Version" function is. Right-click a file (or folder), select "properties", and switch to the "Previous Version" option in the pop-up window. If the file meets the "Restore" condition, an earlier version (2) appears in the middle of the dialog box ).

Select an earlier version and click the "application" button in the lower-right corner. A confirmation dialog box (3) is displayed, asking if you want to restore it to a previous version.
Figure 3 shows whether to restore to a previous version.
Click the restore button in Figure 3. If everything goes well, the system will prompt you for "restored successfully" (4 ).
