SQL distinct usage

You can use the DISTINCT keyword to remove rows with duplicate query results. Different queries are very useful. You just want to know whether a value table exists and you are not interested in how many times. Different statements can only be used once in Select statements. However, you can specify multiple columns. In this case, the SQL statement will remove the rows where the values are in all the same columns.

Syntax for DISTINCT clause is:

Select distinct column_name
FROM derived_table
WHERE conditions

Instance 1

SELECT DISTINCT OWNERLASTNAME
FROM AntiqueOwners

A lastnames, you have the last name table, 'Jones, repeated multiple times. This code returns only one 'Jones.
Select distinct city, STATE
FROM EmployeeAddressTable
