At the initial stage of the WIN8 project, Microsoft's goal was to tell you "of course" whatever the user wanted to do on the computer Win8. In other words, the WIN8 is exhaustive in terms of low consumption, portability and ease of use.
For example, WIN8 will not only provide a fixed pattern for the user, but can be seamlessly converted between different modes by the user according to their preferences and needs. To achieve this, first make sure that WIN8 is suitable for most hardware and peripherals.
In his blog, Grant George said that Microsoft recommended the use of computers that could be certified by the WIN7 logo to run WIN8. The recommended configuration for the Win8 consumer preview is as follows:
Cpu:1ghz or faster processors
Memory: 1GB RAM (32-bit) or 2GB RAM (64-bit)
Hard disk: 16GB free hard drive space (32-bit) or 20GB free hard drive space (64-bit)
Graphics Card: DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or later driver
Since Metro apps are all full screen in Win8, running Metro style apps requires a minimum screen resolution of up to 1024x768, and if you are below this resolution, you will receive an error message when you start Metro style applications.
PS: In addition, if your configuration can run Windows 7 smoothly, you can run smoothly on the same hardware that supports Windows 7
