What types of tests are we doing?

A few days ago, I saw a blog about the redefinition of the test classification, which made us quite touched. Therefore, I need to re-learn and understand the classification of the test, I also classify my current testing work and try to ask myself what tests I have done and what skills and experience I have, because these are of practical significance to our career development, I used to be so vague before that, but since then I think I can be awake a lot.

I wonder if you have noticed that when we often look at the requirements of some foreign companies for testing positions, we usually see many technical terms that are different from the recruitment requirements released by domestic companies, such:
1. UI automation and UI automation testing, which are not seen in the recruitment information of Chinese enterprises I have seen. Of course, there are basically no such introductions in some teaching materials, of course, the term "function Automation" is everywhere;
2. There is also driver test, driver testing, which may not work horizontally. I feel that the translation is hard to understand or understand, let alone what I have done;
3. API test/API automation application interface test. We may have heard of API test, but have never heard of API automation;
4. Also, reliability tests called software are divided into reliability test, stress test, security test, and performance test, which are common in our recruitment information, that is, performance testing. Therefore, when more people try to study performance testing tools, they do not pay attention to the so-called in-depth theoretical study;
5. For code, most people may think it is a developer thing, or a hundred-box tester's business. Therefore, code review and debugging have never been seen before, because code review and debugging are not something testers can do in most companies.

In fact, in these so-called terms, we hardly see the classification of our so-called Test types, because we have never mentioned the concepts of black box testing, white box testing, and gray box testing, therefore, it is suggested that there are no so-called test positions in the Professional testing industry. For example, we have black box testing engineers, white box testing projects, and performance testing projects in China. What is a major? It means that you and me are not the same, because the test is consistent. If you are not professional in a certain stage, the test results will be incomplete and less reliable. But these specialized test terms cover almost all the things we will do in the process. Is this just a conceptual question? Never think that the concepts we don't have in our textbooks are not what testers should do. That's because we have a misunderstanding about the test classification.
