A computer installed the same Win7 system in C and F respectively, when you format the F disk, you will still start with two startup options in the Startup menu, although the format of the F disk, that is, the system in the F disk does not exist, but does not modify the boot menu file located in C disk, It still retains the boot information when the dual system, the solution to this problem is to manually remove the redundant startup options, specific actions as follows
First, open the Start and Recovery dialog box
Right-click on the computer icon in the Win7 system, select "Properties" from the pop-up shortcut menu, click "Advanced System Settings" on the left in the pop-up window, open the System Properties dialog box and click "Advanced"-"Startup and Recovery"-"settings", as shown in Figure 1

Second, enter the editorial status
Click the Edit button in the Open Startup and Recovery dialog box to enter the edit status, as shown in Figure 2

Third, edit the startup item
The system will use the Notepad program to open the Boot.ini file, remove the extra code, leaving only
multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1)/windows= "MicrosoftWindows XP Professional"/noexecute=optin/fastdetect
