A text box is a drawing object provided by a Word drawing tool that holds text, allows you to insert a picture, and places it anywhere on the page, which is convenient to use.
Insert a text box
Method One: "Insert" → "text box", select "Horizontal" or "vertical" as appropriate. When you insert a text box, you can set the format → text direction If you want to change the direction of the text.
Method Two: Click the text box or Vertical text box button on the Drawing toolbar to move to the workspace, the mouse pointer will change to 10, drag the drawing text box with the left mouse button, or click the text box to insert the default size. Double-click the text box button to use it more than once, or if you want to stop using the ESC key or clicking the button again.
In addition, you can convert an AutoShape to a text box without Borders by adding text.
Click in the text box to appear with a slash border around it and an insertion point inside to make text input and formatting, which is the editing state of the text box.
Attention:
1. The default for inserting a text box is "above the text", a black box, and a white fill.
2. To change the text or picture in the body to a text box, select the object First, and then click the Text Box button on the Drawing toolbar.

Move the mouse pointer over the border of the text box, and when the shape changes to a 10-style arrow, click with a mesh border around it, which is the selected state of the text box, which you can either delete or format.
You can also open the Format Text Box dialog box by performing the format → text box, or by double-clicking the Format text box on the shortcut menu, or directly on its border. The first three tabs can set the color and line, size, and layout of the text box individually. In the Text Box tab, you can set the distance between the text and the border. If you want the text box to remain its width and to wrap it automatically, select the first check box, the second check box is selected, and the text box adjusts the height to fit the text. To convert a text box to a frame, click the Convert to Frame button.
Tip: Use the fill color, line color, and shadow settings buttons on the Drawing toolbar to format the text boxes as well.
