1.5 Save the document

Before you end GoLive 5, you need to save the working document so that you only need to select the Save command from the file Drop-down menu to complete the operation. However, it should be noted that although the Save command in the file Drop-down menu and the Save As dialog box used by the Save As command provide the option to select a folder, see Figure 1-22, but you cannot save the document in a folder other than the local site to prevent errors when uploading to the Internet server , which makes it impossible for visitors to browse this document.

Here's a word to beginners: When naming a document, be aware that if you want to use an Internet server that requires a DOS-compatible document, including the Windows NT format, the extension should be 3 characters, htm, or, in UNIX format, The extension is four characters: HTML. Internet servers typically require the home page document to use index as the name, and if you type in the browser's URL bar http://www.adobe.com, so that you will first see the index.html document in this site, with the direct input http://www.adobe.com/index.htmlThe effect is the same.

In addition, the files and extensions for Web pages are:

1.Web page document with an extension of HTML or HTM.

2.GIF image document with an extension of GIF.

3.JPEG image document with a file name extension of JPG or JPEG.

In these documents, Web page documents are created by specialized programs such as GoLive 5, while others come from corresponding graphic image handlers, such as Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Fullsho, and so on. Also, these characters cannot be used to name documents: a slash (/), minus (-), backslash (\), plus (+), colon (:), and no period can be more than one, because it separates the document name from the extension.
