Sometimes we need to close the touchpad to prevent accidental touch, but the shadow genie series models do not close the physical switch of the touchpad. How can this problem be solved? The following describes three ways to close the touchpad for your reference.

Method 1: Open the control panel, find the Synaptics ClickPad v1.3 interface, and click ClickPad to disable

This method can immediately turn off the touchpad, but it will automatically turn on again after restart. This method is not recommended.

Method 2: Open the control panel, find the Synaptics ClickPad v1.3 interface, and select "Disable internal orientation when connecting external USB to the device.

This function automatically disables the touchpad function when an external USB mouse device is inserted. After the USB mouse is unplugged, the touchpad function is automatically enabled again, this method is recommended if you use an external USB mouse.

Method 3: Open the control panel, find the Synaptics ClickPad v1.3 interface, and select ClickPad settings

Select the touch option, and then select the gear-like touch setting option.
