How to add a vsftp user in Linux

Users who add vsftp in Linux

1. Add a Linux User.

Add User: useradd-S/sbin/nologin <User Name>

Set Password: passwd <User Name>

2. Add a user to the configuration file of vsftp.

Open the configuration file VI/etc/vsftpd. conf.

You can see from the preceding configuration file that the user list configuration file is in the/etc/vsftpd. user_list file.

Open this file: VI/etc/vsftpd. user_list

Add the username added in the previous step to the file.

3. Authorize the user's home directory.

Authorization: chmod-r 777

4. Restart the vsftp service.

Service vsftpd restart

OK. After the above four steps, an FTP user is created!
