When windows 7 is installed, the system partition is not formatted. After the system is installed, the windows. old folder is displayed in the system partition, and the "earlier windows" menu item is displayed when the system is started.
Windows. old can be deleted directly, but the "earlier versions of windows" option still exists in the boot guide menu after deletion.
Here are two ways to delete this menu item:
1. Start-> Run-> enter MSConfig and press Enter. Switch to the "Boot" tab and delete windows items of earlier versions,
2. This method is very fast. The first thing I want to talk about is that I directly put windows. after the old file is deleted, the NTLDR file is deleted directly. Isn't that the boot file? However, I did not expect to restart the system after the deletion, and the first method is no longer effective, because win7 itself will follow the guidance. Then we will thoroughly clean up NTLDR and perform the following operations:
Start> RUN> InputBcdedit/delete {ntldr}/f/cleanupPress enter and restart.
