How can I Disable Windows XP system restoration?

"System Restore" is a function of Windows XP, similar to "Last correct configuration" in Windows NT and Windows 2000 ". You can use the "System Restore" function to restore the system to its previous state by backing up the selected system files and program files. However, the "Last correct configuration" is to restore the computer to a Windows-ready state, while "System Restore" allows you to select a State that can be restored to the computer. That is to say, "System Restoration" retains multiple restore points, not just the last restore point.

Although this feature is required, it should be temporarily disabled in some cases. For example, if a computer is infected with a virus, "System Restore" may also back up the virus. By default, Windows will prevent external programs from modifying the system restoration function. Therefore, you may accidentally recover the infected file, or the online scan program detects the infection at this location.

Important:

· You must log in as an administrator to use this function. Otherwise, the system restore option will not appear. If you do not know how to log on as a system administrator, contact the system administrator, computer manufacturer, or installer.

· Disabling the computer will clear all previous restore points.
