How to enable location service for Win10 Map

The positioning system is a unique application of some mobile devices. The Win10 system supports the positioning function in the native, but sometimes the Service may fail to start, as a result, applications using the location service such as maps cannot run normally. In this case, when you enable settings-privacy-location, you will find that the activation button of the location service is unavailable in gray. How can this problem be solved? This problem is usually caused by the failure of the locating service in the system, which can be solved by following the steps below:

1. Press Win + R to open and run. Enter services. msc and press enter to open the service;

2. Find the Service named Geolocation Service in the Service and double-click it to open its properties.

3. Set the Startup Type of the Geolocation Service to manual in the attribute, and click "OK" to save the settings;

4. Return to the Service window, select the Geolocation Service, and click "start" on the left to start the Service;

5. Then, in Settings> privacy> location, you can see that the Enable button of the positioning service is available again. Click Enable.

After the preceding settings, the system's positioning service becomes available again, and map and other application functions will also become normal.
