1. Right-click the network neighbor and select Properties.
2. Click "create a new connection" on the left side of the local connection 』
3. The "Welcome to New Connection Wizard" screen appears. Click "next"
★Note: you can directly select Start> Program> attachment> communication> New Connection Wizard to open the new connection wizard.
4. Select "connect to Internet" by default, and click "next"
5. Select "manually set my connections" here, and then click "next"
6. Select "Connect (U) with a broadband connection that requires the user name and password" and click "next"
7. You are prompted to enter "ISP Name". Here is just a connection name. You can enter it at will, for example, "ADSL", and then click "next ".
8. Enter the username (your ADSL account) and password (note the username and password format and uppercase/lowercase letters), and then click "next"
★Note: If you do not know or do not remember the account name and password, contact the broadband access vendors such as China Telecom, China Netcom, and China Tietong.
9. You can add a shortcut on the desktop. Click "finish" and you will see an additional connection icon named "ADSL" on the desktop.
10. If you confirm that the user name and password are correct, click "connect" to access the Internet.
After successful connection, you will see the icon connecting two computers in the lower right corner of the screen.
How to establish PPPoE broadband connection in Windows Vista:
PPPOE dialing software is provided in VISTA. Generally, no other software is required. The connection method is basically the same as XP. The procedure is as follows:
1. Open control panel --> Classic View --> Network and Sharing Center --> set connection or network, or click the network connection icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar with the left mouse click, and select "Network and Sharing"
2. Similar to the winxp setting interface, select "connect to internet".
3. After the next step
By default, the following check box is not selected. Only PPPOE connections are available.
4. Select "broadband (PPPoE)" and enter the user name and password to give the connection a name. It is basically similar to the XP interface.
If you do not need to restrict others from using the network, select "allow others to use this connection. If you do not have an ISP's own dialup program, click connect to go to step 2.
If the ISP does not have its own dialing program, you need to click the "I don't have ISP" option and the "ISP search" option appears, as shown in the figure below:
6. Click "use the CD provided by ISP" to display the following screen:
7. After the basic settings are complete, VISTA will first test the network
8. If the test fails, the following interface is displayed:
9. Click "diagnose problem" and the page appears (skip this step to step 2 ):
10. Click "still connect" to create a connection. (You can also click to skip during the first detection)
11. After you double-click it, the user interface is as follows:
The basic interface is similar to the XP interface. Now, the ADSL PPPoE dial-up connection is established.
