Haha, too long useless Linux, put their own password to forget the login. Today I found the next method how to reset the password to login system.
This article is for memo only.
When you forget your Linux password, you can use single-user mode to enter Linux and change the root password.
1. When Linux is loaded, press any key, enter an interface, press the E key, you can enter the GRUB mode
2. Select the second row of the kernel (the first line is root, the third row is INITRD), press E to enter the editing interface
3. After entering the editing interface, click the SPACEBAR to enter single. Press ENTER to return to GRUB mode
4. After returning to the GRUB mode interface, select the second row of kernel again and press the B key to start the system
5. This is the single-user mode, no need to enter any password can be directly into the system
6. Enter the passwd command to change the root password (change to 123root)
7. After the modification, restart the server to enter normal mode
