How to generate test data in powerdesigner

After the design table is complete, we need to generate some test data, which can be directly updated to the database. Next let's try:

Step 1: create the required profiles test file, [model] -- [test data profiles ],:

If you select different data sources, the detail tab is different,

There are three data types: Number, character, and data. Generally, only these three data types are supported.

There are four data sources:

Automatically generate test data for the automatic Automatic Generation of automation;

List generate test data using the Value List of test data

Use ODBC data sources to Generate Test Data

File: use an external file to generate test data, such as an Excel file.

 

Step 3: select the table for which you want to automatically generate data, select a column, and open the attribute,

 

Step 4: Generate Test Data. [database] -- [Generate Test Data]

Number of rows is the number of test records to be generated:

Seelction is used to select which tables need to generate test data.

 

Now, the test data can be completely generated.
