How to modify the startup sequence of ubuntu12.04 and Windows systems

Modify the sequence of startup items:

All the methods involved in this article are to bootProgramGrub is installed on the entire hard disk (in MBR), that is, it is boot with grub.

method 1.
enter
$ sudo mV/etc/grub on the Ubuntu terminal. d/30_os-prober/etc/grub. d/08_os-prober
$ sudo Update-grub
sudo uses root permission and MV modifies the file name.
this command is used to rename the 30_os-prober file in the grub. D folder under the ETC folder to 08_os-prober. (08 can be changed to 06 ~ 09 ). The name of the startup item related to Ubuntu is "10 _...", so that the startup Item of win7 can be placed before Ubuntu, that is, the first one in the startup Item List. Because the pilot program starts the first startup Item by default, so you can start win7 first. Note that after modification, update grub to take effect (that is, the command sudo Update-grub ).

Method 2.
Enter:
$ Sudo Vim/etc/default/GRUB
Modify "grub_default = 0" in the opened text. For example, if win7 is set to 5th in the boot item list, change 0 to 4. That is, the number of items in the startup Item List of win7 is reduced by 1.
(Here, you can also modify the waiting time in the startup Item List, that is, modify "grub_timeout = the number of seconds to wait".-1 indicates no countdown .)
After the modification is complete, press [CTRL] + X, and the system will prompt whether to save the file. Enter y and prompt whether the file name is saved or the original grub file. Press enter to confirm.
$ Sudo Update-grub. Update grub.

 

After the command is completed, restart the computer and start Windows by default.
