How to remove Excel cell styles

Users can delete these cell styles if they think that some of the styles in the cell style will no longer be used. Deleting a cell style is divided into deleting a cell style and deleting a cell style from a worksheet.

Delete a cell style: Click the lower triangle button to the right of cell styles on the Styles palette, select the cell style that you want to remove in the pop-up list box, select the Delete option from the pop-up shortcut menu, and then delete the cell style as shown in the following illustration.

To delete a cell style from a table: Select the cell range that has the cell style set, click the Down Triangle button to the right of cell styles on the Styles palette, select the General option in the pop-up list box, and as shown in the following illustration, delete the selected cell styles from the worksheet.
