How to solve the problem of timeout for installing realtek sound card driver in win10 system, win10realtek
During the installation of win10 preview edition, the realtek audio card driver times out frequently. As a result, the system has no sound and the microphone cannot be used. Resetting the volume control cannot solve the problem. Some Realtek sound cards may encounter drive update timeout and other error prompts (error code 0x000005b4) when trying to update the driver, leading to the failure to solve the driver problem. The following describes the specific solution.
Use the shortcut key WIN + R to open the running window, enter gpedit. msc, and click OK.
In the Local Group Policy Editor window, select Computer Configuration> Manage template> system.
Select the device installation option in the system, find "Configure device installation timeout" on the right side, and double-click it.
Select "enabled" in the upper-left corner of the window, set "1800" seconds in "device installation timeout" in the middle left, and click OK
The "configuration device installation time-out" status is enabled, and then the sound card installer is restarted.
Turn on the volume adjustment, and it has become normal.
