Pythontab = ['P', 'y', 'T', 'H', 'O', 'n', 'T', 'A ', 'B'] if 't' in pythontab: print't in pythontab 'If 'W' not in pythontab: print 'w is not in pythontab'

In and not in are very common keywords.
