When connecting to a Windows Server server, a remote Desktop connection is usually used, so if there are times when copying local files to a remote server and discovering that they can't be pasted, it's OK to set this up a little bit.

First rerun the Remote Desktop Connection, click the Display option in the login screen,

Then select the Local Resources tab and tick the printer and clipboard under Local settings and resources by default.

Then click on the Details button, the other options as needed, and finally click the OK button,

Now log in to Remote Desktop to copy and paste local files.
