Install Hyper-V
Hyper-V is built into Windows as an optional feature--no Hyper-V downloads or installable components. There are several ways to enable the built-in Hyper-V role.
Enable Hyper-V with PowerShell
Open the PowerShell console as an administrator.
Run the following command:
PowerShell
Enable-windowsoptionalfeature-online-featurename:microsoft-hyper-v-all
If you cannot find this command, make sure that you run PowerShell as an administrator.
After the installation is complete, you will need to restart your computer.
Using CMD and DISM to enable Hyper-V
Deployment Image Servicing and management tools (DISM) help you configure Windows and Windows images. In many applications, DISM can enable Windows features while the operating system is running.
Use DISM to enable the Hyper-V role:
Open a PowerShell or CMD session as an administrator.
-
dism /online /enable-feature /all /featurename:microsoft-hyper-v
