Using the hyper-V function has certain requirements on systems and devices:

System Requirements: hyper-V can be enabled for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 8, but virtual machines can be created only for 64-bit Windows 8, but not for 32-bit systems, only Virtual Machine connections are allowed. Because the 32-bit system supports a maximum of 4 GB memory, even if the virtual machine function is enabled, it will not have a good user experience. Therefore, the virtual machine function is canceled in the 32-bit system.

Device requirements: hyper-V requires a second-level address translation (slat) and supports virtualized CPUs (AMD-V or Intel-Vt ).

Add hyper-V function

Create a hyper-V VM

Click the hyper-V manager in the tile to view the hyper-V introduction:

Select the user name to log on to the system under "hyper-V manager" to view the created virtual machines and Virtual Machine snapshots.

Click "new" on the right and select "Virtual Machine" to start the VM creation wizard.

Read the instructions on hyper-V virtual machines and click "Next ".

Create a name for the Virtual Machine and modify the storage location of the virtual machine.

Allocate memory to virtual machines. Note that the size of the allocated memory should be moderate, and the performance of the host will be affected during the Conference. If the size is too small, the virtual machine experience will decrease. We recommend that you select "use dynamic memory for this virtual machine" to adjust the memory based on the usage of the Virtual Machine and the status of the host.

Create a virtual disk or use an existing virtual disk. A virtual disk in the vhdx format is a dynamic expansion disk, which will be expanded as the disk is used. You can specify a maximum value for a disk. In addition, vhdx disks support larger storage space than Virtual Disks in vhd format. We recommend that you use this format.

After creating a virtual hard disk, you can install the system. You can use a CD or ISO image to install the system, you can also select "Install the operating system later" and use the optical drive or CD image when starting the virtual machine to install the operating system for a new computer. Note that the hyper-V virtual machine does not support the physical USB interface, so you cannot install the system through the USB flash drive.

Finally, on the "summary" Page, check whether other content needs to be modified and click "finish ".

When the VM is off, click "Settings" to set the selected settings. When a virtual machine is running, you can only view some settings of the virtual machine.
