1. Project Environment
idea:2016.2
Jdk:1.8.0_76
maven:3.2.5
2.file-->new-->project-->maven
3. Select Project sdk:1.8, then tick the create from archetype below, select Maven Archetype WebApp, click Next
4. Fill in GroupID, Artifactid, and next
5. Select the Maven home directory, MAVEN's setting file and local warehouse address reporitory. In order for the project to be built quickly, you need to add parameters to the properties:archetypecatalog=internal, which means that the plug-in uses internal archetype metadata, if not added to this parameter, It is downloaded from the Remote central repository by default, which results in slow build-up and possible build failures, so that there is only one pom.xml file and the rest of the directory structure is not generated.
6. Fill out the project name, project path, projects location, and then finish
7. Generated directory map, at this time a Java directory is missing under Main, you need to create.
8. In main, right-click-->new-->directory, enter Java
9. Right-click on the Java directory and choose Make directory as--> Select Source Root
10. This will see that the Java directory has become blue, meaning that the Java directory is already set to the root path.
11. Click "Triangle" in the upper right corner and select "Edit configurations ..."
In the top left corner, click +
Choose Tomcat Service-->local
Then configure Tomcat: Modify the name and select the JRE version
Then click the deployment Directory bar, add artifact, and select War Exploded,ok.
Run Tomcat:
localhost:8080 Output Hello world!
