Let's give you a detailed analysis of the four cute and delicious donut designs.
Tutorial sharing:
1. Start a new project
Start Illustrator and go to File> new to open a new blank document. Enter your file name, set the size, and select pixel as the unit, and RGB as the color mode. Next, go to edit> Preferences> General and set the keyboard increment to 1px. Go to the unit and display performance to make sure the unit is set as shown in the following figure.

2. Create a donut bottom
Step 2
First, capture the elliptic tool (L), draw an elliptic of 187 x 187px, and select warm brown as the fill color. Keep the circle always selected, go to object> path> offset path, and apply the-2 px offset value to get a slightly smaller shape. Fill the new circle with a radial gradient and use the gradient tool (G) To adjust the direction.

Step 2
Add some materials to the donut, select the pen tool (P), and draw a straight line path as shown in the following figure. Then draw a stroke with an art paint brush named chalk, which is selected from the paint brush menu> artistic effect> chalk charcoal pencil. Increase the stroke width to 4 PT and change the color to warm brown. Then select the blending mode to increase the color and 30% the transparency. Keep the paint stroke as it is, and we will add a mask later.

Step 2
Use the elliptical tool (L) to draw a 54 x 54px circle and place it in the middle of the donut. Select the white color as the fill color, then go to effect> style> outshine, and apply the settings shown below. When this circle is selected, go to the appearance panel and select only the fill attribute and set its blending mode to the front pane. In this way, the white fill will become transparent, but the luminous effect will become visible.

Step 2
Now it is time to set the mask. Select the center of the first brown circle and then copy and paste it to the front (Control-F ). Set two replication layers to no fill and no stroke. And place the object> arrange> to the top (Shift-Control-]) to the front of all layers.
Keep the two copy layers Selected, go to object> composite path> Create (Control-8), and select all objects on your canvas, go to object> cut mask> Create (Control-7 ). The final result is characterized by the following figure.
Name the Result Group "Basic Donut ". This is what we use to create other types of donut.

3. Create a chocolate sugar fruit donut
Step 2
Capture the pen tool (P) or pencil tool (N) and draw a shape for the next image. Select dark brown as the fill color, and then go to effect> style> inner light and apply the settings shown in.

Step 2
Copy and paste it behind the chocolate shape (Control-B) and press the down arrow on your keyboard three times to move it down 3 px. Keep the existing appearance and set the mixed mode to overlay, then you will get a shadow.

Step 2
Next, draw a path as shown below and give it a 7 pt light brown stroke. Go to effect> blur> Gaussian blur, apply a 6px radius, and set the path blending mode to overlay.

Step 2
To add some radiance, draw a shape like the following image, fill it with the linear gradient shown below, then convert it to effect> style> feather, and apply an 11 px radius.

Step 2
Draw a new similar shape on the right side of the bottom of the donut, fill it with a black to white linear gradient, and adjust the angle with the gradient tool (G. Keep the shape selected all the time, apply another 11px feather radius, and set the mixed mode to filter.

Step 2
Next, capture the pen tool (P) or pencil tool (N) and draw several chocolate similar to water drop, as shown below. After you finish, fill in with the linear gradient shown below.

Step 2
Still use the pen tool (P) or pencil tool (N) to draw several small shapes above the shape formed in the previous step and color it with the specified color (1 ). To add more glow, draw more shapes and fill them with the specified color. (2) draw two shapes in this figure, fill them with white, and set the blending mode to overlay (3 ). The final result features are in image 4.

Step 2
Let's create a scatter brush for candy. First, draw a shape shown in the following figure and fill it with Gray in the middle. Use the pen tool (N) to draw a random shape at the bottom as the shadow and use dark gray as the fill color. Draw a small shape on the top as the highlight, this time with light gray.
Select all and drag it to the paint panel, and then select a new scatter paint. In the scatter paint options window, other settings remain unchanged. You only need to enter a name and change the color mode to light or dark.

Step 2
Capture the pen tool (N) again, draw several random paths on the chocolate, and then add the stroke with the scatter paint that was previously saved. Select the path, double-click the appearance panel, and apply and change the settings in the paint stroke option to spread the candy grains and make them smaller.
When the color mode is set to light and dark, you can select any path stroke color to create different colors of candy. Select green, blue, and pink.

These settings are used by me -- completely random.

Step 2
Keep the stroke path selected, go to the object menu, and select the extended appearance. Now, go to isolated mode to delete the part of the candy grain you don't need (double-click one of the candy grain groups) and you will finish the first donut.

4. Create sugar-coated and chocolate-coated donut
Step 2
First, select and create a copy of "Basic Donut. Use the elliptic tool (L) to draw two circles in the sizes of 168x168 px and 74x74 px and place them at the position shown in the following figure. When the circle is selected, go to the object> composite path> Create (Control-8) and fill the generated shape with the specified color. I name this sugar-coated shape"

Step 2
Select the sugar coating layer, go to effect> distortion and transformation> rough edge, apply the settings shown in the following figure, and click OK. Next, go to effect> style> inner light, and apply the effect with the specified settings.

Step 2
Create two copies of the highlighted shape from the chocolate sugar fruit donut and move them to the same position of the new donut. Set the linear gradient from black to white, and use the gradient tool (G) To adjust the angle. Set their blending mode to filter (black side transparent ). Then go to effect> stylized> feather, and apply a 5px radius.

Step 2
Next, capture the pen tool (N), draw a random path to the donut, and spray the scatter paint. Select Brown as the stroke color, double-click the paint stroke on the appearance panel, in order to change the settings. This time, the relative rotation path is also set.

Step 2
Select the stroke path, go to the object menu, and select the extended appearance.
Now, remove the unneeded parts of the chocolate chip and switch to the quarantine mode (double-click one of the chocolate slices in this group ). After you finish, select a new chocolate group, go to effect> style> projection, and apply the following settings. At this point, the sugar-coated chocolate chip donut is complete.

5. Create sugar-only donut
Step 2
Select the basic donut group and two "highlight shapes" from the sugar-coated chocolate donut, and copy and paste (Control-V) to your canvas. Keep the two highlights in the same shape, but increase the feather radius from 5 px to 9 px.

Step 2
Capture the pencil tool (N) and draw a random path on the donut (I used it again) and spray the scatter paint to draw the stroke, but this time set the color to white. Open the stroke option window from the appearance panel and change the settings to get a very small donut powder. The quantity is selected as random.

Step 2
To add more Donut pasters, copy the stroke path and paste it to the top layer (Control-F). Then select vertical flip in the pop-up transform panel menu.

Step 2
In this step, we should clear the extra donuts, but this time they are too many, so I decided to use a mask instead. Capture a copy of the composite path. This is the mask you used before as the basic donut. Make sure this shape is in front of all shapes, then go to the object> arrange> to the top (Shift-Control-]). Now, select two stroke paths and composite paths (no fill, no stroke), and go to the object> cut mask> Create (Control-7 ).

Step 2
On the layers panel, find the mask layer that you created and named as "Sugar. Open the group, select two stroke paths, and go to object> extend appearance. Now go to the isolation mode and delete two paths from each group you are using, and then exit the isolation mode. Next, go to effect> style> projection and apply the settings shown in the two groups. After that, sugar donut is finished.

6. Create a strawberry frosted donut
Step 2
Copy and paste the "basic donut" and sugar and 2 highlight shapes from the sugar-coated chocolate slices donut on your canvas (Control-V. When the sugar shape is selected, change its fill color to light pink, open the inner light window, and use this effect to change the color. For 2 "highlight shapes", increase the feather radius to 9 px. Keep other parts the same.

Step 2
Capture the pen tool (P) or pencil tool (N) and draw two wavy paths as shown in the following figure. Set the stroke width to 7 PT and select the corner endpoint option in the stroke panel. Select the extended and ungrouped (Shift-Control-G) from the Object menu to convert the two stroke paths to fill.
Use the direct selection tool (A) to move some anchor points to create A thick and uneven area, because it is better and more natural. If you do not have enough anchor points, you can use the add anchor tool (+) to add more anchor points. Then, select the blue and green shapes, go to the object> composite path> build (Control-8), and fill the generated composite path with the linear gradient shown in (3.

Step 2
To add a glow, draw several thin paths along the waves and fill them with white.

Step 2
To add a shadow, copy and paste it to the back of the wave shape (Control-B), and change the fill color to pink, and press the down arrow on your keyboard 3 times to move it down 3px.

7. Create a donut projection
Step 2
Create a new layer under "donut" and name it "shadow ". Now in the layers panel, find the composite path you used to hide the "basic donut", copy and paste it (Control-V) to the new layer. Select Brown as the fill color and go to effect> style> projection and apply the settings shown below.

Step 2
Repeat the previous steps for the other three donuts and use the same settings. You will complete this step.

Congratulations! You have done it!
