In Windows 7, the system prompts "Logon Failed: Unknown user name or Password error" when accessing the network shared folder"

 

Problem: The Windows 7 system is used. To access the computer \ IP address in the LAN, you must enter the user password, but the system always prompts "Login Failed: unknown username or password error ", but there is no problem when accessing this \ ip using the same username and password in other XP systems.

 

Solution: Run Group Policy Editor gpedit. choose "MSC"> "Computer Configuration"> "Windows Settings"> "Security Settings"> "Local Policy"> "Security Options": Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level. The default value is "not defined ", change to send LM and NTLM responses ".
