Since CentOS is a free Linux version evolved from Redhat, you can use the CentOS yum update source to implement the YUM function of RHEL5:

### 1. create the yum installation package directory and enter the directory:

Mkdir/usr/local/src/yum-packages (I personally prefer to put the installation files in the/usr/local/src/directory)

Cd/usr/local/src/yum-packages

### II. download all rpm packages required by yum:

### 5. download the configuration file
