Install DB2 on RHEL as 4

Copy the installation package,

Extract
Tar-zxvf v9.7_linuxia32_server.tar.gz

RHEL distribution product package requirements:
* For DB2 that uses asynchronous I/O
Database
Service
Libaio. so.1 is required.
* Libstdc ++. so.5 is required for DB2 net search extender.
* For DB2 data
Libstdc ++. so.6 is required for database servers and clients. However, if you use IBM
Tivoli System Automation for multiplatforms or IBM Tivoli Monitoring for databases: DB2 agent, libstdc ++. so.5 is required.

Sles and RHEL package requirements
Package Name Description
Libaio contains the asynchronous database required by the DB2 database server.
Compat-libstdc ++ includes libstdc ++. so.6 (Linux
This option is not required for on power)

Run db2setup
Error
