Install Firefox in Linux and create shortcuts

0) download Firefox
1) tar-xvf firefox-3.6.3.tar.bz2
2) mV Firefox/OPT
3) CD/usr/share/Applications
4) sudo touch Firefox. Desktop
5) sudo nano Firefox. desktop. The edited content is
[Desktop entry]
Name = Firefox
Comment = This is Firefox
Exec =/opt/Firefox
Icon =/opt/Firefox/icons/mozicon128.png
Terminal = false
Type = Application
Categories = application; network;

7) at this point, you can find the Firefox icon in Applications> Internet. You can also right-click the icon and send it to the desktop or panel.
