G'mic (GREYC Magic Image Converter) is an editing tool that can be used by GIMP plug-ins or as an independent application that supports Linux and Windows systems. G'mic provides a window that allows you to add more than 500 filters and preview results to a photo. The latest available version g'mic 1.5.9 has been released recently.

Installation, available with PPA, almost all ubuntu versions and derivative systems are supported. Open the terminal and enter the following command:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: otto-kesselgulasch/gimp-experimental
Sudo apt-get update
