Install Tomcat in Linux

The premise is that jdb is installed and related java_home and path are set.

 

1. Extract

Tar-xzvf apache-tomcat-5.5.27.tar.gz

 

2. Move it to the directory you want to put (for example,/opt/Inst)

Mv apache-Tomcat-5.5.27/opt/Inst

 

3. Environment Variables

VI/etc/profile. d/tomcat. Sh

Join

Export catalina_home =/opt/inSt/Apache-Tomcat-5.5.27
Export Path = $ path: $ catalina_home/bin

 

4. Change permissions

Chmod 0755 tomcat. Sh

 

5. Start and Stop

Startup. Sh

Shutdown. Sh

 

6. Automatic Start

VI/etc/rc. d/rc. Local

Join

/Opt/inSt/Apache-Tomcat-5.5.27/bin/startup. Sh
