Installation of SOLARIS8 system

Please confirm before installing SOLARIS8:

(1) Confirm that the server's optical drive is available.

(2) Determine the workstation hostname (hostname): The workstation hostname is a string, such as Zznode-test, which is used during the installation process.

(3) Obtain the workstation IP address and subnet mask: Verify that the server is in the network segment is a subnet, and get the current server IP address and subnet mask. If you have a gateway, you will also get the gateway IP address of the workstation. This information is used during the installation process.

1. Turn on the Sun Workstation power switch, put the Solaris 8 installation CD software 1 of 2 into the optical drive, when the splash screen, press <Stop+A>; key (that is, press and hold the <Stop>; key while pressing the <A>; key, <Stop>; keys are located on the upper left of the Sun keyboard, after the "OK" prompt, enter "boot cdrom" and return, the system will boot from the optical drive for SOLARIS8 operating system installation.

2. The language options for the installer appear first:
