Install Ubuntu system under Windows System. There are usually two ways of

1. Using the Ubuntu System. iso file, download third-party boot software EASYBSD, boot load installation

1.1 Use the WIN7 system Partition tool to compress a hard disk space. For installing Ubuntu system, store the Ubuntu system partition.

Of course, you can also use third-party partitioning software such as Diskgenius to partition.

I am in this place, because the partition, the separation of multiple free small partitions, and can not be merged, the most troublesome is the subsequent installation, the compressed free partition cannot be found. Eventually copy the contents of the hard drive to your own mobile hard drive, repartition the entire extended area, and see the free partition in subsequent installations.

1.2 The downloaded ISO system is copied to the current system's C (hd0,0) disk directory, and the ISO Casper folder Vmlinuz.efi and Initrd.lz Two files are also extracted to the C (hd0,0) disk directory (this can be opened using WinRAR).

Note: (Hd[n-1],[m-1]): Represents the nth disk of the M partition. Typically, the MBR master boot disk allows up to 4 primary partitions to exist, so generally "0=<m-1<4" represents the primary partition, while "4=<m-1" represents the logical partition. P+e <=4

1.3 Download Easybsd, open EASYBCD. Click "Add new entry" → "Neogrub" → "Install". Click "Configure", will pop up a notepad file, essentially is menu.lst. Menu.lst is a DOS tool-initiated menu interface settings file. With MENU.LST, you can configure Linux startup and guidance, or you can boot a Linux system that is already installed.

Menu.lst content:

Title Install Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS x64

Root (hd0,0)

Kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz.efi boot=casper iso-scan/filename=/ubuntu-14.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso ro quiet Splash Locale=zh_ CN. UTF-8

INITRD (hd0,0)/initrd.lz

Note: The meaning of (hd0, 0).

1.4 Restart the computer, enter the BIOS and cannot find the Ubuntu boot entry. That is, boot loading is unsuccessful. Cause: Easybsd "Edit boot Menu" to set Ubuntu boot Yes.

After starting Ubuntu installation, if a file cannot be found, you need to view the image files in Menu.lst, Vmlinuz.efi and Initrd.lz, Ubuntu. ISO storage location is consistent with (hd0,0).

you can now go into the installation of the Ubuntu system . After the partition.

2. Download the Chinese Cabbage starter disk and start the. ISO production drive. This method is easy to install.
