Installing MySQL under the Linux platform

MySQL Installation Method:

(1) RPM Mode: RPM package is a Linux platform installation files, MySQL RPM installation file package is divided into two, that is, the server side and the client, need to download the installation separately
(2) Binary package: Two-bit package installation does not need to compile, for different platforms have been optimized to compile the different binary files and package format, easy installation
(3) Source Package mode: Source package is the source code of MySQL database, users need to compile themselves into binary files before installation

MySQL Package:

(1) Mysql-5.6.35-1.linux_glibc2.5.x86_64.rpm-bundle.tar: Bundle containing the following package (2) mysql-community-server-5.7.17-1.el6.x86_64. RPM: Server-side installation package (3) mysql-community-client-5.7.17-1.el6.x86_64.rpm: Client Installation package (4) mysql-community-common-5.7.17-1.el6.x86 _64.RPM: Generic installation package (5) MYSQL-COMMUNITY-DEVEL-5.7.17-1.EL6.X86_64.RPM: Package containing the library header files for development (6) MYSQL-COMMUNITY-SHARED-5.7.17-1.EL6.X86_64.RPM: Installation package (7) mysql-community-test-5.7.17-1.el6.x86_64 containing some of the shared library files for MySQL. RPM: Installation package for test use (8) mysql-community-embedded-5.7.17-1.el6.x86_64.rpm: Installation package for embedded use
