Redis is a well-known NoSQL database, and generally Linux is supported by default. However, in a Windows environment, you may need to install the settings manually for effective use. Here is a brief introduction to the Windows Redis Service installation method, I hope to help you.

1, to install Redis, first to obtain the installation package. The Redis installation package for Windows needs to be found on the following GitHub links. Link: Https://github.com/MSOpenTech/redis. Once you have opened the site, locate release and click the Go to download page.

2. In the download page, find the last released version (here is 3.2.100). Find Redis-x64-3.2.100.msi and Redis-x64-3.2.100.zip, and click Download. Here is a description, the first is the MSI Microsoft Format installation package, the second is a compressed package.

3. Double-click the installation package (Redis-x64-3.2.100.msi) that just downloaded the MSI format to start the installation.

4. Select "Agree agreement" and click Next to continue.

5. Select "Add Redis directory to environment variable path", which makes it easy for the system to automatically identify where Redis execution files are.

6, the port number can maintain the default of 6379, and select the firewall exception, so that the external access to the Redis service is normal.

7, set the maximum value of 100M. As an experiment and study, 100M is enough.

8, click the installation, the formal installation process began. Wait a moment to finish.

9, after installation, you need to do some set up work, so that the service can be started after the normal operation. Using a text editor, use notepad++ to open the Redis service configuration file. Note: Don't look for the wrong, usually redis.windows-service.conf, not redis.windows.conf. The latter is a configuration file that is used by a non-system service startup program.

10, find the place containing requirepass words, add a row, enter Requirepass 12345. This is the password required to access Redis, which can be used without setting a password in general test situations. However, even as a local access, it is recommended to set a password. Here is a simple 12345来 demo.

11. Click "Start" > Right click "Computer" > select "Manage". In the left column, locate and tap Computer Management (local) > Services and Applications > services. Then find the Redis name service on the right, and check the boot status. If it does not start, start it manually. Under normal circumstances, the service should start and run normally.

12, the most later test Redis whether the normal provision of services. Enter the Redis directory, CD C:\Program Files\redis. Enter REDIS-CLI and return. (REDIS-CLI is a client program) and the correct port number is displayed, indicating that the service has started.

13, the use of services before the need to pass the password authentication. Enter "Auth 12345" and return (12345 is the password previously set). Return prompt OK indicates validation passed. 14, the actual test read and write. Input set Mykey1 "I Love You all!" and enter to save a key value. Then enter get Mykey1 to get the key value you just saved. 15. Precautions
