If you are using the Windows7 RC version or other cracked version, Windows7 Automatic Updates may cause side effects, so you want to turn off the Windows7 Automatic Updates feature. Although Windows7 updates can be set, but cannot be turned off or disabled for Automatic Updates, this article describes a way to completely turn off windows7 updates.
Step or method
1. Modify WINDOWS7 update installation settings
Windows7 Automatic Updates are set, but simply modifying settings cannot be done to turn off or disable the Automatic Updates feature because Automatic Updates are turned on again after the next reboot. I don't know if it's a Windows7 bug. But let's just say. To modify the method of automatic update settings, see the screenshot below for the following steps:
◦ Turn on the start--> Control Panel--> System and security-->windows update--> enable or disable Automatic Updates, or enter Automatic Updates directly in the search box in the upper-right corner of the control Panel, or you can find it.
◦ Change the important update setting to "Never check for updates (not recommended)", and will recommend updates, who can install the update, and all three hooks under the Microsoft update option are removed
3. Modify WINDOWS7 Update upgrade server
◦ Open Computer Configuration--> Administrative Templates-->windows components-->windows update--> Specify intranet Microsoft update service location
◦ Select the Enabled tab
◦ Modify server address to 127.0.0.1 (local)
With this setting, Windows7 will not be able to detect the update server properly, and you can turn off the Automatic Updates feature.
