FTP Server: home4u.at.china.com
User: yepanghuang
Password: abc123
Open the Start Menu of Windows, run the "run" command, enter ftp in the dialog box, and press the "OK" button to switch to the DOS window. a command prompt is displayed.

Run the following command to connect to the FTP server:
Ftp> open home4u.at.china.com (Press ENTER)
Wait a moment, and the screen prompts that the connection is successful:
Ftp> connected to home4u.china.com
Next, the server asks for the user name and password, and enters yepanghuang and abc123 respectively. You can complete the authentication.
Upload a file. For example, to upload a: \ index.html to the root directory of the server, you can type:
Ftp> put a: \ index.html (Press ENTER)
When the screen prompts that you have completed the transmission, you can enter the relevant command to view:
Ftp> dir (Press ENTER)
Download. If you want to upload all .jpg files in the server \ imagesdirectory to the local machine, you can enter the following command:
Ftp> cd images (Press ENTER) [Note: Go to the \ images Directory]
Ftp> mget *. jpg
After uploading and downloading are complete, type bye to interrupt the connection.
Ftp> bye (Press ENTER)
To sum up the commonly used FTP commands:
1. open: connect to the server;
2. send (put): upload a file;
3. get: download an object;
4. mget: Download multiple files;
5. cd: Switch the directory;
6. dir: view the files in the current directory;
7. del: delete an object;
8. bye: the connection to the server is interrupted.

View the command set:
Ascii: sets File Transfer in ASCII mode (default)
Bell: an alarm is triggered every time a file is transferred.
Binary: sets File Transfer in binary mode
Bye: Terminate the FTP process on the host and exit FTP management.
Case: when it is ON, use the MGET command to copy the file name to the local machine, all converted to lowercase letters
Cd: The same as the unix cd command
Cdup: Back to the upper-level directory
Chmod: Change the File Permission of the remote host
Close: Terminate the remote FTP process and return to the FTP command status. All macro definitions are deleted.
Delete: delete files from the remote host.
Dir [remote-directory] [local-file]: List Files in the directory of the current remote host. If there is a local file, write the result to the local file.
Get [remote-file] [local-file]: Transfer from remote host to local host
Help [command]: Explanation of the output command
LCD: changes the working directory of the current local host. If it is set to default, it is transferred to the HOME Directory of the current user.
Ls [remote-directory] [local-file]: Same as DIR
Macdef: defines macro commands
Mdelete [remote-files]: deletes a batch of files.
Mget [remote-files]: receives a batch of files from the remote host to the local host.
Mkdir directory-name: create a directory in the remote host

Put local-file [remote-file]: transfers a local file to a remote host.
Pwd: list the current remote host directory
Quit: Same as BYE
Recv remote-file [local-file]: Same as GET
Rename [from] [to]: Change the file name in the remote host.
Rmdir directory-name: Delete the directory in the remote host
Send local-file [remote-file]: Same as PUT
Status: displays the status of the current FTP
System: displays the remote host system type.
