Java continues to revolution

Java continues to revolution-general Linux technology-Linux programming and kernel information. The following is a detailed description. The initial release of Java is no less than a revolution, but it does not mark the end of the rapid Java innovation era. Unlike most other software systems that often make minor improvements, Java continues to develop at an explosive pace. Shortly after the release of Java 1.0, Java designers have created Java 1.1. The new features of Java 1.1 are far more meaningful than version revisions in the general sense, and the content is much richer. Java 1.1 has added many new library elements, redefined the methods for small applications to handle events, and reset many features of libraries in Version 1.0. It also gave up some outdated features defined by Java1.0. Therefore, Java 1.1 not only adds attributes not found in Java 1.0, but also discards some original attributes.
The second major release of Java is Java 2. Java 2 is a watershed, marking the beginning of the rapidly evolving language "the Modern Age! The first version of Java 2 is 1.2. This seems a bit strange. The reason is that it refers to the version of the original Java library. For the whole version, it has not changed much. Java 2 adds support for new features, such as Swing and class set frameworks, and improves the performance of Java virtual machines and various programming tools. Java 2 also contains some content that does not support continued use, mainly because it does not support using methods such as suspend (), resume (), and stop () in the Thread class.
The current Java version is Java 2 and 1.3. This version of Java is the first major upgrade to the original version of Java 2. This version enhances most of the existing functions of Java and limits its development environment. In general, the program source code of version 1.2 and version 1.3 is compatible. Although version 1.3 has made some minor changes compared with the previous three versions, this is irrelevant.
This book is applicable to Java 2 versions 1.2 and 1.3. Of course, most of the content also applies to earlier Java versions. In this book, when a feature applies only to a specific Java version, it will be noted. Otherwise, you can consider it applicable to the general Java version. In addition, for those features that apply to Java 2, the term Java 2 will be simply used in this book without specifying the version number.
