The JavaScript date.setutcminutes () method sets the minutes to a specified date according to the Universal Time.
Grammar
Date.setutcminutes (minutesvalue[, secondsvalue[, Msvalue])
Note: The data inside and outside the brackets is optional
The following are the details of the parameters:
- An integer minutesvalue:0 to 59, representing the minute
- An integer secondsvalue:0 to 59, representing the second. If you specify the Secondsvalue parameter, you must also specify Minutesvalue.
- Msvalue: A number between 0 and 999, representing milliseconds. If you specify the Msvalue parameter, you must also specify Minutesvalue and Secondsvalue.
If you do not specify Secondsvalue and Msvalue parameters, the values returned from the getUTCSeconds and getUTCMilliseconds methods are used.
If the specified parameter is outside the expected range, setUTCMinutes tries to update the date object's latest information accordingly. For example, if Secondsvalue uses 100, the Minute (Minutesvalue) will be incremented by 1 (minutesvalue+ 1), and 40 will be used for seconds.
