Linux echo Introduction

 

1 Purpose:
1) print the information, including the variable value and string.
2) Help the debug program in shell programming

 

2 common parameters:

-N: Do not wrap the line after printing the information
-E: Escape strings

 

Example 3:

Example 1:
[Root @ localhost ~] # Echo $ Lang
Zh_CN.UTF-8

Example 2:
[Root @ localhost ~] # Echo-n "Please input your name:"; read name; echo "Your name is: $ name"
Please input your name: Think
Your name is: Think

Example 3:
[Root @ localhost ~] # Echo-e "Hello \ fworld"
Hello
World
