Detailed description of soft links and hard links in linux

Soft link: in general, it is equivalent to a shortcut in windows. We recommend that you use an absolute path to create a soft link. If you use a relative path to move a directory or file, or cause the soft link to become invalid.

Command: ln-s [source file or directory] [target file or directory]

Note that the created soft link cannot be created in advance and must be created using ln-s.

Hard link: create a file. Both files are hard links with the same size and inode number and permissions. Hard links do not occupy disk space, but cannot be used across partitions.

Command: ln [source file] [target file]

Change permissions. Both files are consistent.
