In the kernel file, Arch/arm/tools/mach-types defines the boards, chips, and so on that are currently supported by the kernel:

Arch/arm/tools/gen_mach_types is used to generate INCLUDE/ASM-ARM/MACH-TYPES.H, which defines the supported schema types.
