One. Common Commands1. View Files

Tail-f file name to see what's at the back

Cat file name View all the contents of a file

2. Edit File Contents

Vim file name enters edit mode

I for editing

ESC Exit Edit

: Wq Save Exit

: q! do not save exit

Shift+g (g) indicates action to the last line

Source/etc/profile let the configuration take effect

3. Manipulating Files

Mkdir folder name Create folder

Chmod 777 File name gives maximum permissions to files

MV old filename new filename Modify file name

RM-RF file name Force Delete files

Cp file name / file address copy file to the specified address

4. system Commands

Chkconfig iptables off permanently shuts down the firewall

Service iptables off Firewall

Rpm-qa|grep keyword to see the program related to the keyword

Ps-ef|grep keyword to see the corresponding keyword process
